Our story

Three decades in the pulse trade

Comtrade Trading Limited was founded in 1995 in the Mersin Free Zone, Türkiye’s first free zone, beside the Port of Mersin. From here we ship transit and packed pulses, rice and pulse flours to buyers in more than 30 countries.

Most of what we produce is exported. Our traditional markets are in the Middle East, Europe and Asia, and in recent years we have grown steadily in Africa. Alongside raw pulses we have invested in value-added products, starting with our own mill for pulse flours.

Capabilities

How we work

Cleaning & sifting

Every lot is cleaned of stones, dust and foreign matter before it goes further.

Colour sorting

Electronic colour sorters remove discoloured and damaged grains.

Calibration

Grains are sized to the grade agreed with the buyer.

Packing

From 5 kg to 50 kg bags, or shipped in bulk.

Flour milling

Pulse flours with a particle size from 100 to 500 microns.

Zero waste

Rice bran and husk are sold on to the animal feed sector.

Energy from our own roof

Our 1.4 MW rooftop solar project is designed to cover the facility’s energy needs and avoid around 825 tonnes of carbon emissions a year, with surplus power fed into the grid. The goal is a carbon-neutral facility.
